Criminal Defense

Summary Conviction offences are the least serious offences under the Criminal Code.  Paralegals can represent accused persons who are charged with a summary conviction offence where the maximum penalty does not exceed six months' imprisonment.

small claims

If you believe you are owed money for the return of personal property, you can sue that person or business in Small Claims Court for an amount not exceeding $35,000.00.

You can sue for claims for money owed under an agreement, such as: goods or services sold and delivered that weren't paid for, unpaid loans, unpaid rent, NSF (Non Sufficient Funds Cheques.

You can sue for claims for damages, such as: property damage, personal injuries, breach of contract, clothes damaged by a dry cleaner

Section 9 of the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act, specifies that an Oath and Declaration shall be taken  by the deponent or declarant in the physical presence of a commissioner, and that an oath or declaration may be taken without being in the physical presence of a commissioner, if and only if, the conditions set out in Ontario Regulation 431/20 Administering Oath or Declaration Remotely are met.

Lisa Robinson - Paralegal

Lisa has always been guided by her heart when it comes to advocating for her community. She has shaped her beliefs and behaviours around having a higher importance of helping people and eliminating corruption.

For over 20 years, Lisa has also been helping families in the Real Estate Sector, while notably receiving designations as being a real estate negotiation expert, and a senior real estate specialist.

Given Lisa’s thirst for added knowledge, and her need to make a difference in the world, she secured her paralegal diploma with honours and became a member of the Law Society of Ontario, and was appointed a Notary Public under Notary Publics Act.

 Since then, Lisa has been sharing her knowledge and advocating for those in need in different areas of the law including, Human Rights, Landlord & Tenant, POA, and Criminal matters.

She is a proud mother of a preteen son, and gives to local charities each year with the proceeds from her annual Halloween haunt and corn maze, that brings thousands of people to her home each year.
